I am so happy I went ahead and purchased this magnetic wooden block for my knives. First off it is so beautiful and a great way to keep your gorgeous knives handy but the strength of the magnetic board to hold them in place is crazy good! I never wanted (and for me and my preference) the metal strip on the wall. I just never liked the look of it bc it was too utilitarian for me. The wood looks for a magnetic base is warmer for my home kitchen and helps make it look much cozier (if that makes sense?). So for anyone wanting a great way to keep your knives organized and at the ready go ahead and splurge for this gorgeous wooden magnetic holder. The only "drawback" is I purchased the set of 9 knives so for space I had to put 2 of them on the back of the board but it works fine either way! Great magnetic board!!! So thrilled with it. ..you will be too.
I’ve been hankering for a knife set from Sakuto for around 4-years. My in-laws bought me a cheap knife set and I’ve had to wait a decent period before buying these.
